Mora

Terms of use

Last updated 16 October 2026

These terms cover the Mora app, its home-screen widget, the web app and this website, all made by Riccardo Perana, an individual developer (“we” below). By using Mora you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

What Mora is

Mora is a to-do list where you can give each task a fee. Finish on time and the fee counts as saved; miss the deadline and it counts as owed. The counter is a way to keep yourself motivated, nothing more. Mora never charges, holds or moves money, and the amounts it shows are not debts or credits: you don’t owe anyone anything because of them.

Mora is free to use.

Payments you choose to make

When you reset the counter, Mora can open a link to send the amount to a friend, donate it to a charity or tip the developer. Each of these is optional, and resetting without paying is always possible. Any payment happens between you, the service you use (for example PayPal) and the person or organisation you pay, under that service’s terms. Mora doesn’t check whether a payment happened and can’t refund one.

A tip to the developer is a voluntary gift. It unlocks nothing and changes nothing in the app. Where a tip is offered as an in-app purchase, the app store’s terms apply to it.

Your data

Your tasks and settings stay on your device (see the privacy policy). We have no copy, so we can’t recover anything that is lost when a device is reset, lost or replaced, or when browser data is cleared. Back up your device as you normally would.

Reminders and deadlines

Mora shows deadlines and reminders as well as your device allows, but your phone or browser can delay or block notifications, for example to save battery. Don’t rely on Mora alone for anything where a missed deadline would cause real harm, such as medical, legal or financial deadlines.

Fair use

Use Mora for your own tasks. Don’t attack, overload or try to break into the website, or use it to harm others.

The software

We give you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use Mora on your devices. If Mora’s source code is published under an open-source licence, that licence governs the code and gives you its rights. Don’t use the name Mora or its icon in a way that suggests something of yours comes from us.

No warranty

Mora is provided as it is, without any promise that it will be free of errors or always available, as far as the law allows.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses, for lost data or for missed deadlines arising from your use of Mora. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, such as for intent or gross negligence, or takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

Changes

We may change Mora and these terms. Changes to the terms are posted on this page with a new date. You can stop using Mora at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing the web app’s data.

Law

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of that country’s mandatory consumer law, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.
